Maybe Pegula and Co. want Darcy to sell off to rebuild and then they'll fire him after the season so the new GM will have picks/prospects to work with before the draft. Firing Darcy now does no good, let him sell off at the deadline and then fire him after the season.

He got burned on it and he will be the first to admit it, however there was no reason it should have gotten that far all 4 goals missed assignments or a horrible turn over.

Just beat Boston after that I could care less at this point.

you want the guy you don't trust to run the team in the future to dictate what assets you get to start your rebuild with? Wouldn't it make more sense to replace him ASAP so the new guy can put his stamp on the rebuild?

We know Regier can get nice returns for players he ships out, if a new GM comes in I'm not sure what good he does in the few days before the deadline. Fire Regier on April 6, the new GM has almost 3 months to evaluate what he needs to do at the draft.
